Cornwall holiday and good night, Mr tom
My my here I come again.. my my how can I resist you.. well, it is the first Saturday after my holiday to sunny Cornwall. We lived in tremaine manor farmhouse, which was built in the 17th century, with a fireplace, stables for car parks, tennis court, game room, pond with a real duck and a crane statue made of metal.. with camp fire in the evenings, marshmallow on fire for my daughter. This place was a 15 min distance from looe beach. It was a nice little place with a beach. Next day went to listearde, took a train there and spent the whole day I. This deserted town. Had lunch at Wetherspoons. Nice curry with rice, naan and papadoms. Did our shopping in co-op.. and back to our manor house. Had the campfire in the evening after dinner. Next day we went to lands end, st. Michael’s causeway. Nice to walk on the causeway in the water. But it was a supposedly boat day but did not book tickets. So it was just a photo opportunity. Weird but true. There was an old lady who spoke about she liking children, not having children, about india and how she like Indian clothes and food etc. she said she did not have money as she had forgotten her purse and she said she lived nearby and the shop knows her and she can buy something and pay later.. we just had ice creams to eat as there were no vegetarian pasties.. but had one vegan(chickpea, cauliflower curry) pasty in lands end.. donut.. and a nice walk and back to our manor house. Next day to Exeter for lunch and then back home and ordered food in dhamaka.
Well, it is the first Saturday after our holiday, woke up, did an expert sudoku.. it took more than half an hour to do it.. but sometimes I think should I be doing the sudoku even when I have this brain fog and think properly. But I am solving a sudoku, sometimes with little cheating, but I do it as a habit everyday.. I don’t know if it is doing any good.. but still doing it..
Signed up for the million steps in 100 days challenge. Did 10000 steps yesterday..
and today, I started reading good night, Mr. Tom.. as part of the book reading challenge. 100 books to read from bbc. As part of this challenge I am re-reading all the books I have read before as I have forgotten most of them. .another perk of getting old, you don’t remember things and hence you can re-read, re-watch.. with so much stuff going on.. life is just running away from me and I sometimes I am frustrated, sometimes bored, sometimes happy, sometimes neutral..
Yesterday, my daughter who had applied for some course in Oxford and did not get any message from them was unhappy and in tears and she thought she had not got it and I was trying to find her some equivalent course and I the evening, she says she is in the course and the email was delayed by a day for some reason.. much ado about nothing…
